The Apple homepage is dedicate to Steve Jobs
The life of Apple genius Steve Jobs is to be turned into a Hollywood film.
Sony Pictures have snapped up the movie rights to the iPod and iPhone creator?s official biography, ?published last Monday, for ?1.9million.
The studio is drafting in Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin ? who wrote The Social Network, about the rise of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. A source said Sorkin is ??considering the prospect, but has made no decisions?.
Computer genius Jobs died on October 5, aged 56, from respiratory arrest caused by pancreatic cancer.
Jobs, who always guarded his private life, shocked many when he asked author Walter ?Isaacson to write an ?honest? biography.
The book, titled simply Steve Jobs, is based on 40 interviews over a two-year period and has already become an international ?bestseller. It is set to be ?Amazon?s biggest-selling title of 2011.
Sorkin is expected to work with Saving Private Ryan producer Mark Gordon. Early favourites to play Jobs include Daniel Day-Lewis and Ralph Fiennes, although younger actor Ryan Gosling, 30, is also thought to be in the frame.
