The answer is a lot of time researching the products before buying them!
I pour over hours of material from blogs I subscribe to everyday and Googling for product reviews. ?My HG product review site is Make Up Alley! ?I wouldn't pay $70 for a foundation if the general population said it wasn't good. ?I wouldn't pay $48 for a Shiseido lipstick if it wasn't good either!
At the moment I'm browsing reviews on what's a good toner. ?Toner's toner to me. ?It's something I'd use every day and wouldn't want to spend too much money on it. ?I'd rather spend more money on something that's going to be noticed. ?No one's going to comment on how awesome my toner is! ?That's just creepy.
So the reviews on the site with a reasonable number of reviews is Garnier Sensitive Soothing Toner.
I'll be checking that out when my Biore Triple Action Astringent Toner. ?I think it's a tad too harsh on the skin (it does contain?salicylic?acid after all) so I'm hoping to finish it by June to include it in my first May Empties post!
Do you have any favourite drugstore toners to recommend?
