The latest issue of CEPro's magazine has given away apparent plans by TiVo to expand its mobile apps beyond the iPad version. A full-page ad pitching the Premiere XL to custom installers mentions that TiVo has been developing apps for "the iPhone and Android OS products" alongside the iPad title. What features would change, and whether the Android app would include tablets, has been left open.... Full story...

HP TouchPad to omit document editing until later in summer -

HP's imminent TouchPad won't have proper document editing when it launches next month. The QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suite will arrive with the webOS tablet as promised, but an internal presentation has shown it will only support viewing Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents on launch.

Google acquires SageTV in likely push to rekindle Google TV -

SageTV in a notice to its users said on Saturday that it had been bought out by Google. The open-source home theater software developer said it signed onboard because of a "shared vision for open technology" that would move their Internet-focused experience.
