Job Summary:
The primary function of the IT Sales Manager is to generate revenue, by forecasting business and market needs, formulating and implementing sales strategy, lead generation, achieving sales targets/quota and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Reports To: President & CEO US Operations
Required Experience/Education:
*5-7 years of enterprise software sales experience with a track record of consistent performance against a plan
*Proven, quantifiable track record selling technological solutions to information technology executives in various vertical markets
*Must have proven sales and supervisory experience in the Software and Web Development area
*Must have leadership qualities
*Bachelors degree MBA preferred
Salary & Bonus:
*40K-50K Initial Base Salary
*Lucrative bonus based on sales targets
*Base Salary increase based on performance and sales targets
Responsibilities / Duties:
1. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong desire to succeed and possess a "hunter" sales mentality.
2. Must be comfortable calling on a variety of leads at all levels within an organization, from mid-level marketing manager or knowledge worker through a CxO level executive.
3. Must be able to drive sales opportunities by aggressively developing and qualifying new leads in target markets.
4. Identifies business opportunities and makes contact with potential clients for implementing software solutions based on:
a. CMS solutions (based on Drupal & Joomla)
b. E-Commerce Solutions (Megento)
c. Mobile Technology Solutions (iPhone & Android)
d. Enterprise Content Management (Documentum, SharePoint and Alfresco etc).
5. Works closely with offshore sales to target markets and companies, qualify, and close leads to develop and maximize regional and national level revenues. Maintains a good technical understanding of products.
6. Through consultative selling techniques, develops solutions to meet prospects needs, and present them effectively. Provides effective demonstrations of the solutions developed in the past for other customers.
7. Assist in developing business strategies to ensure achievement of sales targets, by understanding market requirements, company objectives, product capabilities and future industry developments and trends.
8. Achieve sales quotas, by prospecting, identifying, qualifying specific buyers, initiating campaigns, following up on prospect inquiries with demonstrations, presentations, meetings and proposals.
9. Close the sale, by discussing terms and conditions of contracts with customers and ensuring that all contract sign-off procedures are adhered to.
10. Responsible for closing new business and meeting aggressive revenue and new account quotas.
11. Works closely with the technical support team in addressing questions and issues and product management in providing customer feedback and gathering market requirements
12. Must be able to operate with minimal supervision and should be self starter. Prepares customer proposals and quotations.
13. Must be a team player within the sales organization and throughout the company.
14. Strong writing, editing, communications and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
15. Must be able to supervise and directs the onshore and offshore Sales team members.
16. Maintains timely and effective communications and provides quality feedback to the Management.
17. Researches local competition and position services and products competitively while achieving profitability.
18. Solicits and services major accounts. Assists management in devising sales plans and strategies
19. Provides data for establishing monthly and annual budgets and forecasts.
20. Performs all other related duties/projects/reports as assigned by the President.
21. Responsible for monthly forecasts and revisions.
22. Directs the hiring and training of new employees in the Sales.
Other Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Must be able to organize time effectively
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must have a valid drivers license and access to an automobile for outside sales calls
Possess excellent listening skills
Must have command of the English language both written and oral skills
Must be able to work with offshore sales team during late hours
Must be able to work flexible and extended hours (over 50 hours)
